Say Your Prayers Mr. Belding!

The boys are a little tipsy after witnessing Barry Bonds make history, so it’s anything goes.

Some of the topics covered include details of the latest listener meet up, complete with a ghetto wedding reception, nerdy jokes, and a mother daughter hooker team.

Not enough for you?  Ok.  How about the Tommy Dutch death pool, stripper’s eating habits, a new listener read live on the air for the first time, and the earth shattering news that may change TAI forever.  You guys have never won $40,000 and blown it the next day?

Hey Guys, I’m still here. It’s been a little crazy lately and I havnet been able to listen to the show before the next show comes out.

Amy and I had our second child and we haven’t been getting any sleep.

Brian and Tom, the last show was the best show to date, i love the idea of tom talking about how he makes his picks, can you also post the information. And i love making picks on the site as part of a contest.

Lastly, I’m not calling anyone Psycho who is going to see the spice girls, you are going to have to change your name, Welcome to the show.

    Ship it,
    Yzerman

Bmo judging by the post from JR a little one is expected – congrats.

yzerman congrats to you and your wife as well.

Congrats Yzerman. Is your first child potty trained yet? If so, we’re looking to make a trade. Our baby for one that’s already trained. It’ll be exciting, like Let’s Make A Deal! You take what’s behind the curtain. It may be like my wife and you’ll have a brilliant baby, or it may be like me and you get zonked. Any takers?

It’s the most refeshing beer for hot sunny days – I just drink it until drunk it’s so easy.
Back home in the UK by the way it fucking sucks ass. It is simply my Vegas drink

I think it’s funny that a ref who might have cheated a bit is on the same poll list as OJ bastard Simpson – Who the hell will vote for him.

    Congratulations, BMo!

My little girl’s two years old, and there’s nothing I’d rather hear than “I love you, Daddy!”. It’s a wonderful experience. You won’t really understand it until 2:30 in the morning some February morning, standing next to your wife in the hospital and holding that little bundle. But at that point, you will understand it in a way that you didn’t know was possible.

And by the way, I was terrified of having a girl, but it’s OK — you’ll learn.

My wife and I waited to find out the sex until the birth, but I knew deep down that we were having a girl. You’ll get a lot of yellow baby clothes, though.

Congrats again BMo, and Mrs. BMo.

BMO, CONGRATS! I can’t wait to see you walking your baby down the strip sidewalk in a stroller in 110 degree heat. Then, to cool off, you can bring it into a smokey casino bar while you play video poker and drink until 3am. You’ll fit in with some the tourists who bring their babies to Vegas. At least your baby won’t end up on my flight home across the aisle from me screaming for 3 hours while I’m fighting a hangover from hell.

The boards have been complete snoozers lately…worst message boards ever.

HOWEVER, I’ll return to offer congratulations to one BMO to successfully slipping one past the goalie. It’s quite an accomplishment. I’ll be looking forward to burning down a Cuban in your honor my man.

Also, I have STRONG feelings with respect to finding out the gender of the child…pregame. I’m a fan of of knowing ASAP. I loathe the people of act like purists and say, “we don’t want to spoil the surprise”. HELLO. IT’S ALWAYS A SURPRISE. Whenever you find out that you’re having a son or daughter it’s a huge surprise. If you find out from a 20 week ultrasound…it’s a surprise. Make your own decision, but don’t make somebody else feel they sneaked into their parent’s bedroom and saw their Xmas presents early.

PS how can you NOT vote for OJ?

Trainfan checking in from Mechanicsburg, PA – somewhere around aka p nuts stomping grounds. Mechanicsburg and Algona, IA in the past two weeks – my jet setting life is not all its cracked up to be.

Brian – sincere congratulations on your news. I’ll tell you the same thing I tell everyone having their first child – no one will be able to adequately capture for you the amount of work worry a child is – just as they will never be able to explain the joy of it all. Its simply something you have to experience for yourself.

As for the picture with the tie – consider it my honoring Tommy Dutch’s photo on his bio page – talk about a high school year book picture!

Richie and Whit – I’m counting down right with you – looking forward to meeting you in Sin City in 10 days!

Can someone answer me this completely unrelated to anything question??? Not really even a question but a dilemma.

So I’m in London and, as I’m here primarily as a base for travelling Europe, I’m just doing contract/consultancy work for the Government. The problem is that im on a contract with no bloody work.

So i dont know whats worse….

    a) having a job where you are constantly busy and run off your feet but your day flies by and before you know it you are at the pub or the casino or the strip joint or watever

    of

    b) having a job like the one im currently in where you get paid pretty bloody well but have absolutely no work to do so your day drags on and fucking on day after day. There is only so much websurfing you can do from a Government computer (no gambling/porn sites) and because of the time difference to Australia my friends back home are all asleep so no emailing.

Anyway – im fucking bored shitless here, hence this post….

The only saving grace is i’m off on a beer drinking mission to Belgium for 4 days as of tomorrow and can’t bloody wait…

    Hey, PMAC.

Just got back from Paris for two weeks (flew into Heathrow and then took the Eurostar to Paris), and I’ve got some thoughts on the not-working gig.

    Live OLDE!!

That’s right. Have you noticed how much stuff old people have to do in their day – especially when they’re retired.

It’s a chore just to nail them down to a time that you can visit or even plan a trip to the ELKs or the VFW.

So think old. You’ll also reap the benefits of senior discounts and early-bird dinners.

As for Brussels. Didn’t like it. We spent a rainy Tuesday there and it seemed like the city was far too small for even a one-day trip. Good luck with all that.

If you’ve got money saved when you get back to London, just spend an afternoon in LadBrokes and bet on everything from the PGA to whether the Tour de France will be run next year.

    Cheers!

Jeff – thats the prob – ive got a job and i have to be here 40 hours a week but i have no bloody work to do here…. as a contractor i have to do the hours to get paid but they give me work, i finish it in the first hour and then i have 7 more hours to kill each day….

Ive been to brussels before and am really only going for the beer and food… also gonna check out Bruges

Great question pmac. I’ve been in both situations and I have to say I’d rather be busy. It sounds like a dream come true to sit around and waste time all day, but like you said, it gets to be a nightmare fast. We’ll chat about it on tomorrow’s show.

    UNDER 10.5

The Dodgers are playing horrible baseball. They’ve lost 15 of 20 and they have the always shitty Brett Tomko trotting out to the mound with his 2-9 record and beefy era. C’mon Reds! Close these guys out!

pmac – It always sounds great to other people when you mention you effectively sit around all day doing nothing, but they don’t understand how soul destroying it can be.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago, fortunately I was able to move to a daily rate, which at least cut down my hours I had to sit around. I then did the only thing I could – I moved to another contract.

I’m guessing the work is IT related in which case a contract somewhere else is always a choice, or is it linked into the visa?

  44. pmac
    August 9, 2007 | 7:54 pm

Ace – They know – there is just no work for the area and i gotta finish the contract (3 more weeks) so they try and find me things but its all piss easy as im working at a much lower level than what i was back home (Cos i had no ‘london experience’ when i arrived – what a crock of shyte….) and its our taxes paying for me to sit on my arse

Bob – Not IT – its government policy work. No visa required as i got a Spanish passport…Ole!!!! I’ll def be negotiating a daily rate on the next contract

I don’t really get on the boards but I had to say Congrats. Big mistake not finding out. The stuff you get before the baby is born is much better if people know. Plus after wanting all boys and finding out I was having a girl instead I had months to get over it.
