It’s A Half-Assed College Football Preview

The fellas were hoping the Godfather today to impart his college football brilliance, unfortunately a scheduling conflict kept him away so instead TD and B-Mo struggle through another Monday with limited sports involvement.

Some topics include professional cup stackers, crappy little leaguers, sports criminals pleading guilty, betting on your favorite teams, and the difference between sports and games.  Eric Gange better watch his back.

Fuck im bored right about now here at work……

but about an hour ago, the guy on the shitter next to me (not next to my desk – i was on the shitter too) was playing some sort of slot machine game (on his mobile/cell phone i guess). And although he had no qualms about the racket it was making, he flushed the bog every time he pushed a fart out to try and disguise that noise??????

    Weird

I hate crapping in public toilets – best at home with a good book and 20 minutes or so to enjoy a leisurely shit.
Any reports on last night yet

The Tigers are getting Andrew Miller Back Friday Night against the Yankees. They have to have one of the best young starting rotation with power arms in baseball. Bonderman,Verlander,Miller,Jurjins,Robertson, and next year maybe Pacello!

And how about the young position players(Maybin & Rayburn), and don’t forget the MVP this year Maglio Ordonez(352ba–leads the league–23 HR, 111 RBI)!

Not me – prediction England 1 – Germany 3 another sorry assed performance
(I really hope I am wrong – but fuck Michael 1 game a season Owen just walked into the team how do the young up and coming strikers feel when they cant even get a place in a friendly)

German blokes were already walking past my office drinking at around 10am this morning – all kitted up in jerseys and scarves!!!!! nice and early start for them….

Ive got Germany 2- 1 England

    August 22, 2007 | 4:19 pm

As the England/Germany game is a friendly and means absolutely nothing, it’ll probably be an easy England win.

This will lead to hopes being raised for the next 2 must win qualifying games. All the tabloid press will print articles about this team being world beaters and all the players are the greatest of there generations and not mearly in the team due to a ridiculously long injiry list (it was touch and go for the team to be made up of the first eleven fans to arrive with boots).

Come the qualifying games reality will kick in and they will up being dire. England will either lose or draw (neither of which will be good enough results). At which point the press will begin a campaign to sack the manager (again).

Personally, I’m going out for dinner to a place with no TV.

Morning chaps. I’m currently at work trying not to vomit or shit my pants. Meet up last night was great fun, and with the exception of the Godfather who was a last minute scratch, everyone was accounted for (including Momma Dutch, the new Mrs. Trainfan and Fyregirl). Manx guys were awesome and extremely generous. Lots of stories for tomorrow’s show including one of our gang projectile vomiting on the patio, and another who was almost kicked out. And you heard it here first, I outlasted both of the Manx boys. Granted they were severly jet lagged and drank far more than I did, but it still counts. Good times, good times.

pmac, I can’t believe you were surprised by the courtesy flush. I consider it a necessity when using a public restroom.

Train, I know some photos were taken while I was in various states of innebriation, but maybe you could be a buddy and not post anything my unborn child would be ashamed of.

I haven’t made my way to this show yet, but I did hear yoy two making fun of my for posting on the old shows, so here I am. I just wanted to say that I love the map being added to the site and I just added me, pic and all, and notice that you have two red dots on your map. The red ones being for girls….so look there are a few girls that love this show just because, not because some boy we know listens to it. Now I am going back to the Mr. Pants show.

(Congratulations on the happy news by the way! All the best to your wife.)

Sounds like a good night was had by all :-)

I always enjoy the American terms for shit house such as ‘rest room’ and ‘bath room’ – I neither want to rest nor bath in any of the crap holes I visit!

I haven’t really been following the suggestions for your 100th show (except what you’ve mentioned during the show), but I think it would be fitting if you’d each start the show with a bottle of Grey Goose within arm’s reach. Then, whenever one of you says “absolutely,” “fuck,” or some other overused TAI term, you both yell “the goose is loose” and down the shooter.

We should probably have an over / under on how much of the bottle will be left at the end of the show, if you make it that far…

BMo, I’m giving you the edge in this competition considering the success you’ve had during your most recent outing!

I know everybody’s favorite shortstop is Derick Jeter but I will take Detroit’s Carlos Guillen! His contract is smaller and he’s just as productive. He also just hit a 3 run home run in the first inning as the Tigers lead Cleveland 3-1. With Justin Verlander on the mound thats should be all the runs he needs to win.

patchdog9742 – spoke too soon. still there is a fair way to go

  23. brian
    August 23, 2007 | 12:27 am

As long as you don’t mind the 20 errors Guillen brings defensively every year, I suppose he’s comparable to Jeter.

BBB, I’ll give you “absolutely” and “wheelhouse” as overused terms, but fuck should be removed from the list because it’s necessary and there’s no substitute.

    oh no—what happened?

  25. patchdog9742
    August 23, 2007 | 12:44 am

Most of Guillen’s error’s are stupid error’s and don’t usually hurt the team.

I just wanted to say that the Mrs. and I had a great time at the TAI meet up last night and couldn’t be happier that everyone worked their schedules to do the meeting on Tuesday.

It was a pleasure meeting Richie, Whit, Tom the Manx, Fyregirl, Jimmymac and Momma Dutch and always good to see Brian, Mofobes and Tommy again.

Jetlagged or not there’s no excuse for drinking Bud.

  45. AceRockollaUK
    August 23, 2007 | 9:39 am

Buds – that’s the worst, what ever happened to the Official TAI beers of choice?
I used to run a leisure business in Southampton and Bud sales out stripped everything else by about 3 – 1, so I guess it’s appealing to many people.
I just never really got the taste.

  46. pmac
    August 23, 2007 | 11:15 am

Ace – I’ll help u ‘get the taste’ It tastes like watered down ferret piss, with a slight tang….

It annoys me more than anything because one of my favourite beers is from the Czech Republic, from a little town called Ceske Budejovice. It is the original Budweiser, named after the area, kind of like Champagne. Anheiser Busch ‘stole’ the name and there was some sort of court case recently, which, I guess due to the mega corp funds, Bud won, and now the Czech version is called Budvar.

I went to this town purely for the Brewery tour which was cool and was pleasantly surprised by the town. Also got to drink AWESOME beer for about Us $0.30 a pint – cant ask for much more

Can you listen to Premier League on the radio???? I know its old school but i’m TV-less at the moment

  48. English Bob
    August 23, 2007 | 12:34 pm

pmac – BBC Radio Five is the answer. The have live commentary on more premiership games than anyone else. They even cover lover league ans Scottish football.

Depending on your location it’s available online as well.

  49. English Bob
    August 23, 2007 | 12:39 pm

Budvar – now that is a quality tipple. I tend to favour the Czech dark beers myself, usually Kozel, but it wouldn’t be a bad world if there was only Budvar to drink.

Last night I stuck to Almaza – which is a Lebanese beer. it’s not to shabby, but not a patch on the Czech stuff.

And whilst I’m on beer I’m off to Manila (one L – not the town in Iowa) for a few weeks for work – anyone got any recommendations on what to drink out there?
