George Bush Vs. Homer Simpson

Too many topics, too little brain cells.  Have you noticed that ever since Brian and Tommy started writing things down, they’ve somehow become more disorganized?

Today’s hodgepodge includes Brian’s top 10 tv shows, Jacko is out of Vegas, the answers to the “Know Your Host” contest revealed, and are the wrestling record books tainted?

This better be the lead story on the monday show. A true LEGEND goes down before a huge competition. Who is going to step up and take over the throne or will he fight thru the pain and truly transcend sport ala Jordan during that “flu” game and become immortalized.

With Kobayashi injured, my money would have to be on Joey Chestnut. We need an American to re-claim the title. Also bank on Sonya Thomas to finish strong.

I think Avril’s Girlfriend song would diminish the lap dance experience. Even with the “anatomical earmuffs” on.

Or perhaps some bluegrass country music…

  9. slashdogx says:

For Worst LD song by title, I would support Aerosmith “Dude looks like a Lady”. Don’t want to be hearing that.

  10. Repo2k says:

I’m yet to DL the episode (hello iTunes!) did someone mention Full House?

He even gives another link reason to post at TAI by talking about Elvis at the end. This is the short version, there’s a longer one I haven’t had a chance to watch yet too.

I’m with Slashdogx, “dude looks like a lady” ??? fuck get me outta here !! although it brought up some old Thailand memories for me.

My view on Barry Bonds is it’s all good. Like you guys say there were lots of other people doing roids iat the same time and the league looked the other way so, so be it.

Roosterman… Good to see another tragic here.

Trainfan checking in! Sorry for my lack of participation lately I’ve been swamped with this work thing. Anyway I’ve been trying to keep up with the shows (I’m 1 behind) and the posts as best I can.

Anyway – I wanted to be sure to say I was really impressed with this past Monday’s sports show. I thought it was a great, great effort.

Catch up soon – I’ve been saving up a lot of thoughts.

Being the guy who has lived in both boyhood homes of these clowns, here is some insight.

The scar question was a gimme! C’mon, AZ health care screams errant scars on Children.

No way Tommy Dutch could’ve ice skated on that “lake” he lived on. The pickle factory and the Viagra factory have been dumping so much crap in there for so long, the color changes daily and in 10 years of living near it, I have never been able to ice fish it.

Finally, only Midwestern people know the joy of the Jimmy Buffett tailgate party.

Does this news mean we can hunt them again?

WASHINGTON – The American bald eagle, a national symbol once almost wiped out by hunters and DDT poisoning, has not only survived but is thriving.

The Interior Department will announce on Thursday it is removing the majestic bird from the protection of the Endangered Species Act, capping a four-decade struggle for recovery.

Final Table of the the 50K horse is set. Several suprises in there. Ammon Fillipi is the chip leader and the Hobbit, Freddie Deeb is on his heels. David Singer has made it twice in a row. Barry Greenstein is there but shortstacked. There are 2 virtual unknowns which is amazing. Should be pretty interesting all the superstars have been KO’ed.

  28. Richie says:

    Top Vegas Movies

    1. Swingers
    2. Casino
    3. Vegas Vacation
    4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
    5. Rounders 2 (you know there’s going to be one someday)

Favorite movies that feature Vegas story lines but probably don’t count as Vegas movies: Lost in America, Godfather II, Rainman

Favorite made for TV Vegas Movie – “The Night Stalker”

Favorite Vegas based TV Show – Vega$ with Detective Dan Tanna

The Ocean’s movies are good – watched the original a few weeks ago though and it seems to be losing some of it’s charm for me. I thought the Cooler was a great concept pretty poorly executed.

    From Vegas Tripping…

Ooops: Iowa Choir Teacher Drains Choir Bank Account to Fund Gambling Habit

An Iowa Choir Teacher was busted for withdrawing $1500 from a Music Festival bank account at the Rhythm City Casino in Bettendorf Iowa over a 6 year period.

Deborah Ragin has been charged with 2nd degree theft after making 37 withdrawals from the non-profit Festival’s bank account. 36 of these were done via the Casino Cash ATM inside the Rhythm City casino.

As a result of her actions, Ms. Ragin was fired from her job (2 weeks before she was to retire) and will probably do some time in the joint

The next time you decide to get rid of a girl friend, can you please call me? I would love to take on her and her best friend, then still be able to laugh about it with you for years to come. All this while we pay brian like $50 to eat some shit in the corner.

Everyone on the train tonight hated me, because i was laughing out load on the train while half the people were trying to sleep.

I still think that the shirt should say “punting a grumpy”, that is a truly classic line.

    Ship it,

    5. Pay it forward. (great movie for seeing little seen spots in Vegas)
    4. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. (RIP Hunter S. Thompson)
    3. Swingers. (Break out film for many folks)
    2. Hard Eight (actually a Reno movie but OUTSTANDING Sam Jackson and Phillip Seymour Hoffman)
    1. 1 Night in Paris (the Paris Hilton pole smoking fest..filmed at the Bellagio check http://www.imdb.com for you fact checkers)

  36. K Freeze says:

Top Ten Vegas Movies (Because I like 10 of ’em.)
    10. Rat Race (I think I am the only person who likes this movie, but whatever.)
    9. Viva Las Vegas (My favorite Elvis movie anyway. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun making this.)
    8. Oceans 11 (Original) (Something great about having Sinatra refer to the Sahara as one of the big hotels on the strip.)
    7. Leaving Las Vegas (because nothing is better than watching the downside of debauchery. Great movie, great performances, makes me want to drink myself to death. Also, mostly filmed in Laughlin.)
    6. Ocean’s Thirteen (I accept your apology for twelve, gentlemen)
    5. Go! (I especially LOVE where they turn off the strip onto an alley. It is almost as fun as when movies have people drive from the strip to downtown, or on downtown post Freemont Street Experience. I seem to remember passing a crack whore or two on that walk.)
    4. Fear and Loathing in Vegas (So THAT’S the secret to making Circus Circus fun — Mescalane! Hey Meth heads — try this! Fun for the whole family.)
    3. Vegas Vacation (What can I do with two dollars? Buy a bullet and rent a gun! Seriously, Chevy Chase’s face as he hits the ATM is chilling.)
    2. Showgirls (Simply the greatest post modern comedy. Also some nudity. Parental advisory. The commentary on the VIP edition is pretty funny too.)
    1. Casino (De Niro and Rickles, together at last.)

  37. YoTime Joe says:

I only have 1 Vegas movie and that’s Casino. I refuse to watch a movie called Fear and Loathing in Vegas because it just can’t be done and Leaving Las Vegas maybe hits a little too close to home.

  38. Lady Grey says:

I think it is cute that the same boys that brought us the story about how Michael Jackson was seen in the FAO Swartz then tell us all about how he hasn’t been seen in the year that he has lived in Vages. It seems that even listen to their own podcast counts as too much real work.
